David has pioneered a science-based approach to understanding organisations and their behaviours, drawing on anthropology, neuroscience and complex adaptive systems theory.  He is well known for his pragmatic cynicism, iconoclastic style and is a passionate speaker on a range of subjects.

In this interactive event David will work with webinar participants to consider application of aspects of design thinking to Cynefin methods for building Method Kits* for use in a variety of contexts.

  • A short introduction to Cynefin and the Methods Kits opens a conversation about how participants might contribute to design/development processes for systems oriented Methods Packs.
  • Attention then shifts to working collaboratively on building some systems concepts tools into a viable contribution to Cynefin Methods Kits as an ongoing design.

*Method Packs are based on the metaphor of a chef who can combine and recombine different ingredients, and social contexts to create a unique meal. Thus the packs permit a shift away from context-independent linear processes, to a focus on context-dependent environment.
